Organiser: Joe Dillon
This is a little different, it's not going somewhere, climbing a big hill and going home. This is how you give back to conservation by killing some rats to save kiwi, Kaka, Kōkako, Whio... I could continue in one of the last untouched forests in New Zealand.
Due to beds the maximum is 10 people. This could change if other groups sign up fewer people that usual.
Drivers can decide when on Friday they leave, keeping in mind it's a 5ish hour drive, either have dinner before or after. We will stay the night in the beautiful Pureora Forest Lodge, and will wake up to the calls of kaka and kakariki and maybe Kōkako. Baiting starts around 9, and ends at 4. Sunday can be spent doing whatever, that's a discussion to have with your driver.
No cost is listed because it's free to stay, but you should organise food and petrol costs with the group you're driving with.
