Organiser: Sam Wildig
In May 2021, VUWTC joined Conservation Volunteers in the restoration of a local bush reserve in Island Bay. We cleared so much non-native flora and unearthed some bizzare artifacts (e.g. toy elephants, creepy dolls, teapots) that were deposited here many years ago, when it was formally a rubbish dump.
CV has asked us to be involved again (we obviously did an awesome job), this time the activity might be planting more tree or clearing weeds. So if you want to help out this local ecosystem and try some amateur archeology, come join!
