Follow the yellow trailhead road!

Join me as I traverse Wellington from the heart of the CBD to the southern coast!

This is a crazy 6-7 hour day walk that passes through many of Wellington's suburbs. We'll meet at the Welly Railway Station and set off on an epic odyssey. We'll end up in the picturesque spot of Island Bay, and hopefully get a well earned dinner (fish and chips at the local park?!)

Along the way we'll pass a number of exciting spots, including Parliament, the Botans, Vic Uni, two historic cemeteries, the so-called "Benevolent Home," Wellington's very own Central Park, the Berhampore Municipal Golf Course (watch out for flying golf balls!), a Buddhist Stupa, and multiple playgrounds!

This walk is super pretty, there's a bunch of nice parks and reserves along it, great views on a nice day!

This is a very long walk at 14.4km, so make sure you're comfortable walking for ages and bring adequate gear/food.

But it is easy to leave early, as many sections are close to major bus routes back to the CBD :)
