Welly Weeknight Walkies (Bumper Edition) - Wizards in the Night Sky(line)

This is Welly Weeknight Walkies - weekly adventures across Wellington's urban cityscapes and scenic bush! Super social and very chaotic! :)

Come along on this bumper Weeknight Walkie, where we will trek the entire Skyline walkway in one evening! This is a trail that runs from Mt Kaukau near Johnsonville/Khandallah to Karori. There are some really nice views over Wellington's northern suburbs and beyond

It takes about 4-6 hours so it's quite the journey. 13.4km or so over many hills, it's not too challenging but I would say it's a medium to medium-hard walk depending on your fitness level. Chat to us if you're not sure! There are various trails that exit the Skyline into nearby suburbs if we need to leave for any reason though, so were not locked into the entire Skyline.

Catch the train or 1/24 bus to Johnsonville Station, we'll walk up to the Skyline start from there. The walk will finish in Karori, where we can catch the 2 bus or walk back to Kelburn/town.

To introduce some absurdity, everyone must dress up as wizards! Bring your best wizard hat.
