Monday, 15 July 2024 from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Organiser: Justin Atkinson

We have a quest to visit and rate all of Wellington's 107 public playgrounds on VUWTC club trips! We are least halfway, with a spreadsheet of our progress coming soon!

We have unfinished business with the suburb of Tawa, which has SO many playgrounds. Part 1 took place in August this year (Grasslees Rerserve emerged victorious, with Chipmunks Playland a close second), but we were only able to bag half of Tawa's playgrounds.

On this edition, we'll be visiting the others. Just a big WARNING: these playsites are more difficult to reach. There will be lots of steep climbs and long endless streets, so prepare yourself! The event will be at least 2.5-3 hours, even more. There's the Kapiti train and 60 bus to get home afterwards (probably, knowing public transport!). Our destinations span across both the inskirts and outskirts of Tawa.

Meet at Wellington Train Station at 5:30pm, we'll catch the Kapiti train to Keneperu Station and go from there!

- Wall Park Play Area (by Keneperu station)

- Tui Park

- Duncan Park

- Grasslees reserve

- Victory Crescent

- Larsen Park

- Brasenose place

- Willowbank reserve
