Day trip to Stan’s hut

East Harbour Regional Park is a beautiful area just across the harbour from the central city. It has at least two mysterious huts. I'm keen to find Stan's Hut: https://hutbagger.co.nz/huts/stans-hut-1

I intend to take the following route (map courtesy of my friend Craig): 

This includes some off-track travel. We may get lost but it should be straightforward to get back to civilization even if that happens. Going to plan, estimated time is 5 hours.

Please bring:
- Good walking shoes
- Snacks
- Lunch
- Water
- Raincoat 
- A warm layer in case it gets cold
- Sun hat and sun screen
- A compass if you'd like to practice navigation! 

Please meet at Queens Wharf at 9:15am on Saturday to get the 9:30am ferry. You will need a ticket - you can get this at the ticket office or onboard the ferry (note they do not accept cash).
