Garabaldi Plateau is deep in the middle of Kahurangi National Park. This is a but of a sequel to the center mountain trip last year. I was thinking of a 7-10 day transalpine trip that crosses from 1 side to the other(Kakapo hut, Herbert range, garabaldi, Leslie) but only if we can sort out the logistics. Kahurangi tends to be a bit more chill than the mountains further south, so this trip would be open for any keen MH trampers.
Update: Dates are pretty locked in, starting from Karamea on the 12th and finishing sometime after the 20th
