Possibly my favorite place in Wellington city, this lovely little rocky valley is tucked in the scrub above Ngaio. It's a really beautiful spot, it would be really nice to develop it to run summer evening climbing trips, but we need some help particularly with clearing the access track
The tramping part of the trip would be open to anyone tramping at at least a medium-ish grade along the rough access track, and it would include a walk up to the summit. The rock climbing part would only be for people who have done rockcraft as the climbing is quite adventurous at the moment but hopefully we can change that!
Message us if you're interested and we can sort out some hired climbing gear, and bring all your regular day tramping kit. Should we say meet at Simla Crescent station at 9:16am when the train gets in? Unless anyone has a car, which would cut out most of the hill?
