Wednesday Night Climbing

We climb at Hangdog at 6:30pm so we'll leave at 6.10pm from Hunter carpark (get here before then if you want a ride!) I try organise enough cars but sometimes we take the train. Open to everyone, no skill or equipment needed!!

club organised climbing happens every wednesday! We carpool from Hunter Carpark at 6pm out to hangdog in lower hutt (arguably the best gym in welly) and climb for a couple hours. There are grades for everyone: people who have never climbed before and people who have been climbing their whole life, so come along no matter how much climbing experience you've had. 

It costs $16 for entry, we also have some climbing shoes you can borrow but our supplied are limited and shoes can be hired at hangdog for a couple bucks :)) 

Because we carpool out to the climbing gym we rely on kind people bringing their cars along, so if you have a car you can bring to help out please do! And those that don't drive if you could bring a gold coin for your drivers because petrol is expenny that would be amazing! The other option is public transport but if you've lived in welly for a while you'll know that it's pretty unreliable... 

Hangdog offers both bouldering (short wall climbing) and climbing on ropes on higher walls. If you're wanting to climb the ropes you should learn how to belay which takes around 15mins. I have to book in those that want to do a belay lesson so please let me know on the signup sheet below if you would like to do that.
