5 Bays, 1 Day 2024

This bumper trip will visit many of Wellington's finest bays. This is based off the #5Bays30Days challenge that Vic Uni Recreation run. You have to visit 5 bays within a month, with epic prizes up for grabs. But here at VUWTC that's not hardcore enough for us, so we'll do them all in one day!

We'll be travelling across Oriental, Scorching, Breaker, Lyall, and Houghton Bays, with many others in between. This walk will take about 4-5 hours.

There'll be a bunch of great sights along the way. 6 amazing playgrounds, some delightful cafes, a war memorial crawling with cult members, awesome WW2 bunkers, Wellington's best nudist beach, a real propellor from the Wahine (a ship that sadly sank in a storm in the 1960s), a grassy reserve perfect for hide and seek, plenty of rock pools, a tunnel running underneath the airport, and a ton of great views. Plus did I mention a gazillion chances for a nice swim?! You don't want to miss this.
