If your birthday is on a Monday in Winter, & you don't take the day off to make a long weekend skiing with the tramping club, then did you even celebrate your birthday?
After a 4:30am alarm, a four hour drive along SH1 & 6am Maccas from Bulls - we were amped to hit the slopes on Sunday morning. The snow was icy, but we had still had plenty of enthusiasm. We spent the evening relaxing at TTC, eating all the snacks & hardly any of the roast dinner.
Monday was another hot day attemping to skate on Ruapehu ice. After some white outs & wipe outs, we all headed down to Happy Valley for the afternoon. Many GoPro action shots were recorded, & many children were knocked over by Connor getting off the chairlift.
