The obscure suburbs of Vogeltown, Vogelmorn, Mornington, and Kingston (plus the better known Berhampore and Brooklyn) are home to an interesting collection of playgrounds. These were kindly ranked for your convenience by a group of intrepid trampers on a dark autumn's evening.

8. Jeypore St Play Area

3/10 - Very small, just a little slide and swings, though it was in a secluded quiet spot off the main street, nice trees made it a pretty picnic spot.

7. Quebec St Play Area

3.5/10 - Not great, decent slide, it had a really weird spinny thing that was super hard to move, boring otherwise.

6. Vogelmorn Park Play Area

4/10 - Amazing slide but little equipment, hard to find, the most fun was someone finding a squished banana in their bag.

5. Farnham St Play Area

5/10 - While it only generated mild fun, it was colourful, and had good swings and an amazing car.

4. Krull St Play Area

7.9/10 - Next to a super steep hill perfect for rolling down, a cool curved slide, bark floor was more comfortable than concrete and rubber of other playgrounds, fun flying fox, had a great overall vibe.

3. Te Papa Tākaro o Jim Belich (Jim Belich Playground)

8/10 - Amazing range of equipment, easy to access, another(!) awesome slide and flying fox, funnest part was the digger that could flick sand at other people.

2. Harrison St Play Area

8.5/10 - Inventive ball theme, bouncy trampoline, claustrophobic tunnel, fun main structure, four square courts galore, and a bonus community centre.

1. Central Park Play Area

10/10 - 3 incredible highlights (triple flying fox, complex climbing frame, one v one destruction swing), also the main playground is pretty cool and in a great location, we had sooo much fun here! :)

Honourable mention: Mitchell St Play Area

Sadly we didn't make it here, would have been a long 30min walk up a steep hill with little reward. Included here for completionist's sake!
