Our team, the 101 Phalanges, set out to cook a delightful three-course meal that was easy to do on a tramp, warm, and nutritious. Our meal course consisted of a chana masala, which had canned chickpeas, tomato, onions, garlic and indian inspired spices. It was served with homemade naan, which was assembled and pan-fried at camp. We also created a mixed greens salad with cucumbers, carrots, pomegranate, and a balsamic vinaigrette. For dessert, we crafted up a smore's pudding with a biscuit base, two types of Whittaker's chocolate and marshmallows on top. It was a fantastic time cheffin' with the team because we all had our strengths and taught each other along the way. We also had a great time coming up with our menu and deciding how we were going to make a unique, tasty, and tramp-able meal. While it may seem gourmet, it was all phalanges on deck as we carried in canned goods, a few veggies, and some sweets and made a simple and tasty meal in less than 45 minutes! It was a super fun way to spend the weekend with our team members, Ellie, Gracie, Heidi, Jamie, and Ian!
