Raro is an excellent tramping snack. It has no nutritional value whatsoever, but it's delicious. Here is my review of the best ways to consume Raro while tramping.
Raro in your drink bottle
This method can make your water more tolerable when there are bits of porridge floating around in it because you melted snow to drink in the same pot you made breakfast in. You might, however, regret this when you want to make noodles for lunch and realise the only water you have to cook with is tropical flavoured.

Hot raro
This one is great for when you feel cold. Take a thermos of hot raro with you when you're going somewhere cold, like a mountain. It hydrates you, warms you up and tastes delicious.
Raro snow cone
This option is surprisingly crunchy, yet refreshing. How to make: select some snow that no one has stood on yet. Make sure the snow isn't yellow before adding raro. I recommend making a small hole in your ball of snow to pour the raro into. Then munch away. The only downside to this one is that it makes your hands cold.

Straight raro
Personally, I don't think you can beat eating raro straight out of the packet. You can pour it into your hand, and then lick it up. This method is highly concentrated and efficient. It might make your hand orange and sticky, though.
