Taco Tuesday really has to be the highlight of my week, a wholesome gathering of hungry adventurers determined to make whatever anyone brings into something edible- never really tacos, almost always burritos.
I've only been in New Zealand for a month, so obviously it makes sense that I decided to give it a go at hosting. I was honestly surprised that everyone fit into my flat, although there was no space to walk anywhere and definitely not enough plates or tortilla wraps either. We all came together and cooked, chopped up onions, opened up cans, guacked the avocado, and chowed down. Everyone helped out to clean and left my poor state of a kitchen in a better state than it was in before, thanks guys.
No one could have prepared me for the sheer amount of leftovers that there would be; I could have sustained myself for weeks, but alas, I can only eat so many beans. It's safe to assume that collectively, the Tramping club has the best gut microbiota with all the dietary fiber that's consumed. If you're looking for a sense of community, a cheaper way to get a good meal, and people who wear 3 layers of lawnmower-themed socks, with one pair specifically with "im sexy and I mow it", you should come on Tuesdays.
And yes, this is Taco Tuesday propaganda.
